At Nordic Right, we are committed to advocating for and upholding human rights across the Nordic Region and beyond. Today, we stand united in condemning the recent acts of violence and espionage that have caused significant loss of life and heightened tensions in the region.
Reports have emerged detailing a distressing incident in which an overnight Russian missile attack targeted Ukraine’s central Poltava region, resulting in the tragic loss of at least three lives. Additionally, the shelling in Kherson claimed the life of another individual, further highlighting the devastating toll that conflict inflicts upon innocent lives.
Furthermore, the recent revelation of a 60-year-old Russian-born Swedish citizen being charged in Stockholm with collecting information for Russia’s military intelligence service is deeply concerning. Such activities undermine the principles of transparency, respect for sovereignty, and international cooperation that Nordic Right steadfastly stands for.
The disruption caused by drone activities has also become a matter of grave concern. Russia’s claim of destroying a drone near Moscow, which led to the suspension of air traffic at two of the city’s major airports, marks the second instance of such disruption within a week. The destruction of additional drones over the Bryansk region, bordering Ukraine, further compounds the apprehensions regarding the situation.
The Nordic Right firmly asserts that the protection of human rights should be the cornerstone of any civilized society. It is disheartening to witness acts that endanger innocent lives and compromise the security and stability of nations. We call upon all parties involved to engage in dialogue and seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts, respecting the fundamental principles of human rights and international law.
We urge international leaders to work collectively to de-escalate tensions, promote open communication, and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals affected by these troubling events.
