At Nordic Right, we are committed to advocating for and upholding human rights across the Nordic Region and beyond. Our mission is to promote peace, justice, and dignity for all individuals, irrespective of their nationality or background.
It is with great concern and profound sadness that we condemn the recent tragic incident involving members of Ukraine’s 128th Mountain Assault Brigade. The medal ceremony, meant to honor the bravery and service of these soldiers, turned into a devastating bloodbath following a Russian missile strike near the front line in the southeastern region of Zaporizhzhia.
The loss of at least 19 soldiers, including high-ranking officers and some of the brigade’s finest warriors, is a stark reminder of the human cost of conflict. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected by this senseless and tragic event.
Nordic Right calls for a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding this attack. The questions surrounding the planning and execution of the ceremony in a vulnerable and exposed location demand answers. The safety of military personnel must be a top priority, and we urge all parties involved to ensure accountability for any lapses that may have led to this devastating incident.
As an organization dedicated to human rights, we stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine during this difficult time. The impact of such events goes beyond borders, and it is our collective responsibility to work towards a world where such tragedies are prevented through diplomacy, understanding, and respect for human life.
In the face of this heartbreaking event, Nordic Right reaffirms its commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of individuals affected by conflict. We call on the international community to join us in condemning violence and promoting dialogue as the path towards a more just and peaceful world.
