Nordic Rights Condemns Russian “Guided Bomb” Attack on Blood Transfusion Centre in Ukraine

Reports indicate that a Russian “guided bomb” struck a blood transfusion centre in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, resulting in the death of two innocent individuals and injuring four others. This blatant attack on civilians is a clear violation of human rights and an act of war crime.

We stand in solidarity with Ukrainian officials and President Volodymyr Zelensky, who rightly condemn this senseless act of violence. This incident only underscores the severity of Russian aggression and its impact on innocent lives.

As an organization dedicated to promoting human rights, we firmly believe that such acts of violence must not go unnoticed or unaccounted for. We call on the international community to join us in condemning this attack and demanding justice for the victims and their families.

It is crucial for all parties involved to prioritize the protection of civilians during times of conflict. Targeting non-residential buildings, like the blood transfusion centre, only exacerbates the already dire situation in the region.

As President Zelensky rightfully stated, defeating terrorists is a matter of honour for everyone who values life. We stand united with Ukraine in its fight for peace, justice, and human rights.
