At Nordic Right, we are committed to advocating for and upholding human rights across the Nordic Region and beyond. We stand for peace, justice, and the fundamental rights of all individuals, regardless of their nationality or origin.
We are deeply concerned about the recent escalation of heavy fighting in and around Klishchiyivka, a key village in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, between Ukrainian soldiers and invading Russian forces. The violence, resulting in loss of lives and destruction, is distressing and undermines the principles of humanity and peace.
The conflict in the region has persisted, causing grave suffering and displacement of innocent civilians. We strongly condemn the loss of lives, including the tragic deaths of a 72-year-old man and an elderly woman in the southern Kherson region. Our hearts go out to their families and all those affected by this violence.
It is of utmost importance that all parties involved in the conflict prioritize dialogue and seek a peaceful resolution to end the bloodshed and devastation. We call upon both sides to exercise restraint and work towards a ceasefire, allowing for humanitarian aid to reach those in need and for efforts to rebuild the affected communities.
The international community must unite and exert diplomatic pressure to bring an end to this ongoing conflict. Human rights must be protected, and all parties must adhere to international humanitarian law, ensuring the safety and well-being of civilians.
Nordic Right urges a comprehensive, negotiated settlement to bring lasting peace to the region. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and hope for a peaceful and just resolution to this conflict.
